Class structures in fantasy or dystopian books have been a trope that I’ve long since grown bored with because of their predictability and lack of creative diversity.Cover Typography by Bellaluna Cover Designs & bloody hell does she go through it in this book!! – I can’t say any more. Then we have Sage, the everlasting bff who is now a character of my heart. There are still A LOT of secrets and lies between the six of them and that’s not just down to Oli. Gryphon is perhaps the breakout surprise of this book and the change of dynamic between him and Oli is interesting to explore. I see hope for North while Nox seems unattainable and unapproachable. The dynamics between her and her bonds is steeped in trauma and mistrust. Oli is, a fractured character and just because the book is in her POV doesn’t mean I agree or understand all of her actions. This book drastically changes the dynamics of the characters and brings people together, breaks them apart, and causes a shit lot of chaos! I’m going to try and review without giving any spoilers away. I’ve had a day of good times, mixed with lightheadedness and dizziness and this book has both kept me sane and torn me apart. 350 Pages | 28 Chapters | Read: 02/01/23 | Time: 5 Hoursīloody hell I’m down a rabbit hole with this series.
